Peter Gordon

Just like gbk, our consultant chef Peter Gordon was born in New Zealand. gbk's three Kiwi founders approached Peter in 2000 to see if he would oversee our recipe and menu development, a role that he still does to this day. Better known for cooking at The Providores and Tapa Room restaurant (which he co-owns with Michael McGrath), on Marylebone High Street in London, he jumped at the chance to help create the best burgers in the UK and beyond. Peter works with our team throughout the year, helping tweak the menu, devise new snacks, salads and burgers and generally helping us to wave the gbk flag. As he says 'If it's worth cooking, it's worth cooking well'. To see what else he gets up to, and he gets up to a lot.

Laverstoke Park

If you're wondering where we get our buffalo burgers from - and would like to buy some yourself to enjoy at home - then here's the link you need. Laverstoke Park is an amazing farm in Hampshire run according to the principles of organic farming laid down at the turn of the 19th Century - with modern equipment of course. It's owned by Jody Scheckter, once the World Champion Formula 1 driver and now a farmer with a passion for 'the best-tasting, healthiest food, without compromise'. Even the pastures are planted with a special blend of 31 grasses, herbs and clovers, so the meat really does taste lighter, richer and different from anything you would normally find in the shops. We are proud to serve Laverstoke Park produce in our restaurants and highly recommend them.
